However, all soy wax "blooms" and takes on a dusty or moldy appearance over time. This happens to chocolate also. This is a natural effect of soy, not due to spoiling, and will not affect the performance of the crayons. They look better with use. Finger oils and use compress the surface and return the crayons to their pretty, glossy appearance. Thank you for choosing soy over petroleum wax! It's good for the kids. It's good for the planet."
