Iceland Horse Hrókur I'm the Iceland horse, and I'm the newest member of the Ostheimer horse family. Yes, I'm a bit smaller than the others and sometimes mistaken for a pony, but strong and freedom-loving as we Icelanders are, I love to gallop across the pasture with my flowing mane. Have you noticed the special mark on my forehead? I'm very proud of it, and of my name too: You can pronounce it Roo-kür. In Icelandic, it means tower. There's also a beautiful picture book about me, Hrókur and the Skyriders. In it, you'll learn about me and my longing for my homeland.
