Trees changing places – tactical moves in the woods
In a tree nursery, the trees are repeatedly replanted so that they can take good root in the forest later on. To do so, WaldMeister contains pegs in different colors and heights. Every turn brings more trees into play.
Both players compete for clusters as large as possible. One player tries to form clusters of the same height, the other goes for the same color. The larger a cluster is, the better for the respective player. Only the largest clusters per color and per height score points.
Each turn proceeds as follows: The active player chooses one of the pegs on the gameboard, moves it in a straight line across any number of unoccupied spaces, and then sticks any one of the pegs from his own supply into the hollow he just started from. Over the course of the game, the gameboard becomes more and more crowded and difficult to oversee.
Who will keep track of the multitude of trees and become the master of the forest?
